About the Course
In this course we will examine some of the basic elements of Game Theory. Game Theory studies environments in which each individual’s payoff depends upon both their own actions as well as the actions of others. Game Theory attempts to develop an understanding of such situations and to provide a formal framework and solution concepts for making better strategic choices.
Course Goals/Learning Objectives
By the end of this course you will be able to apply game-theoretic reasoning to real-world problems in a range of environments, including: (i) static (normal-form) games with complete or incomplete information (ii) dynamic (extensive-form) games with complete or incomplete information and (iii) repeated games.

Description
Credit Hours: 3.00. In the course, economic, political, and social interactions are represented as games, in which strategies and resulting outcomes can be analyzed. The analysis of these interactions is then used to demonstrate how one can make optimal decisions under uncertainty. Typically offered Fall Spring Summer.
