About the Course
This is an advanced course in microeconomic theory. In this course, we will cover the standard economic models of individual decision-making with and without uncertainty, models of consumer behavior and producer behavior under perfect competition, the Arrow-Debreu general equilibrium model, and some basic issues in welfare measurement
Course Goals/Learning Objectives
Econ 251 is intended to introduce you to microeconomic theory and its application in everyday life.  By the end of this course, you should be able to:
 
1)      Calculate economic costs and benefits relevant for making rational decisions
2)      Identify factors that influence demand, supply, and market equilibrium
3)      Evaluate the efficiency and equity of market equilibrium and the role of government in achieving efficiency and equity

ECON 25100 Microeconomics

Description
Credit Hours: 3.00. Microeconomics studies the choices individuals make and the incentives that influence those choices. Emphasis is on the incentives that determine market prices and resource allocation. The role of public policy in influencing incentives and efficiency is also addressed.
