Course Insights is a platform for faculty to share detailed information about the courses they teach. Faculty may post previous course syllabi on the site and they may also publish course web sites providing information beyond what is included in the University Catalog.

If you are looking for a specific course syllabus from a previous term and cannot find it here, please contact the academic department that offered the course in question.

Course web sites consist of a Course Details page and a Catalog page. The Catalog page conveys information from the official university course catalog maintained by the Office of the Registrar. The Details page provides in depth course information provided by the instructor.

Course Syllabi and web pages are provided to inform students as they consider future registrations. Course web pages or syllabi obtained from this system are not to be viewed as official syllabi for current or future course offerings. The content of this system is provided at the discretion of individual faculty. No claims for completeness are implied or intended. All content is subject to change.

About the System

The current version of the system enables faculty to archive electronic course syllabi in either PDF or Microsoft Word format. At the discretion of the faculty, the syllabi and web pages may require a Purdue University login in order to view the content.

The syllabi archive feature and was introduced in July, 2016 at the request of the Provost for Teaching and Learning and was developed in partnership with the Student Systems Competency Center, ITaP. The web page authoring feature was added to the system in December 2016. The system is supported by the Summer Programs staff within the Office of the Provost.
